| Most signs
now are made with computer cut vinyl letters. I do a few of these each year.
I'm glad I had an education in painting letters first, before I started
designing on a computer. I have also studied the history of hand lettering
and printing type. I feel this background has helped me create signs that
don't look too mechanical.
There are artists using the
medium of vinyl in wonderful ways. I am interested enough to produce vinyl
signs with some personal style, but this is not my strong suit. Two days at
the computer is my limit. Then I need to get back to some paint and gold
leaf. |
