SCRIPT and ITALIC FONTS

This page shows script and italic fonts. These have a casual look. Italic fonts like the first four styles can be written in all caps or upper and lower case. They lean to the right to make them look more like hand writing or calligraphy.. Many of the other Block and Roman fonts on this site also come in Italic. If you liked one of those Roman fonts but want it in upper and lower case, it can be done. If you have a long name that needs to fit in a small space, know that any word with lower case letters will be shorter than the same word in all capitols.

Script lettering is never written in all caps. It has a capitol first letter followed by lower case letters for the rest of the word. They work well for a person's name or a phrase or quote. The script fonts at the bottom of the page are harder to read than anything else in this collection. Sometimes legibility is not as important as aesthetics.
